Weekly Update

We have two exciting things happening next week! For our P.E. time, the girls will participate in a school wide Turkey Trot. They may wear athletic clothes on Monday for the event! On Tuesday, we welcome the 4th grade from St. Christopher's for a Math Expo Day.

Our presidential research is well underway and the girls have been surprised by how much information they are finding from our school database!

In math, we continue learning two-digit by two-digit multiplication and reviewing long division. The girls are doing SO well. Girls-tell your parents the difference between a prime and composite number!

Reminders:

The girls will have a break from homework on Monday and Tuesday.

Weekly Update

We kicked off our week with a Halloween parade around the green. Pictures from the morning are here. Afterwards we welcomed our Middle School "big sisters" to our classroom. I know the girls loved getting to know each other while making some Halloween crafts.

In math this week, we reviewed long division and multiplication with big numbers. We then learned about factor pairs in order to complete a candy corn tree. Ask your daughters more about this! Their trees will come home next Friday. Our first musical math moment was to the song "Monster Mash". Musical math moments practice listening skills while strengthening the girls' mental math skills.

As we wrap up our Government Unit, we began making the 3 branches of government flap book. Next week we will begin a presidential research project.

Reminders:

NO SCHOOL for students on Monday

Carpool helper for next week is Grace C.
